Hi ladies, I don't have less than 2.5 lb ankle weights and my 3 lb ones from TAM, is it safe for me to be going heavier with these moves or is there a reason Lauren you want us to keep them so light?
Hi! You can absolutely go heavier if you'd prefer. I keep them light because many people end up engaging their hamstrings and/or their quads while getting into the front of the hip and I want you to use you glutes to do the lifting. If you know you are using the desired muscles then feel free to go heavier. xx
Thanks Lauren! Belated thanks here but I've been following this with great results and no issues. Is there a reason the new workouts don't have ankle weights in them? :) was just wondering.
Hi! YES! When we are focusing on side legs, as we have been, I find that many people tend to grip in the front causing pain in the psoas etc. and added weight isn't necessary. xx
